You spoke, and Roland listened. The Entire Roland Aira family has been updated with exciting and usful features requested by users from around the globe.
Based on the vintage TB-303 bass synth, influential across the world amongst electronic music styles, especially techno and acid house, the TB-3 is a meticulously remodelled for the 21st century musician.
Utilising Analogue Circuit Behaviour technology, Roland have produced a faithful reproduction of every last detail of the original TB303, starting with the original sawtooth and squarewave oscillators to produce gritty and punchy basslines from scratch. The low-pass filter features a -18dB/octave ladder to emulate the smooth analogue sound of the original.
Whilst some of the key groove features like Accent, Slide and Step Sequencer are faithful to the TB-303, the Aira TB 3’s unique touch ribbon keyboard is far more enjoyable and easier to play. Envelope modulation and decay can be controller from a single finger, and the X-Y touchpad allows for pattern switching and pitch control too. You can connect the TB-3 to your computer via it’s USB jack for USB bus power and to send and receive Audio and MIDI data, and can also receive MIDI clock information to sync with external devices including other AIRA series units.
